The 2024 and 2025 Honda Prologue SUV

The Honda Prologue runs with a fully-electric powertrain. If you're familiar with the Ultium battery pack that's used in the Chevy Equinox EV, this is the same platform. The standard powertrain is one motor and Honda will offer a dual-motor all-wheel drive model as an available option. Performance

Because the Prologue utilizes the same powertrain and platform as GM's Chevy Equinox EV, it should be built with either a single motor plus front-wheel drive or two motors along with all-wheel drive. The dual-motor/all-wheel-drive version should provide about 288 horsepower and the horsepower for the front-wheel drive version will be announced later. Estimated charging times

Those who spend the money to get a 220-volt outlet installed in your garage should expect it to take about 5 or 6 hours to bring the new Honda Prologue to a full charge, at which point you'll get 300 miles of range. Obviously, that's a major drawback compared to the 475 miles of range you'd get with a Honda CR-V after a five-minute fill-up at a gas station but we want you to be aware of that situation before you buy an EV. Above all, we want you to buy a vehicle you'll be happy with over the long run so we're giving you full disclosure about the Prologue.

Technology

The new Honda Prologue for 2024 and 2025 will have a large infotainment touch screen that measure 11.3 inches. Wireless smartphone connectivity will be included and so will an in-dash navigation system. The new 2024 and 2025 Prologue should give you an 11.0-inch digital gauge display as well as wireless device charging as standard features. If you buy one of the top two trims, the Prologue will offer an available Bose sound premium system with 12 speakers.

Interior

The Honda Prologue is designed with a simple dashboard that might remind you of the Honda Civic or the Passport. The wheelbase on the Prologue should be about 8 inches longer than the CR-V and it should also be wider by about 5 inches. Based on those statistics, the 2024 and 2025Honda Prologue would provide a cabin that has a little more passenger space and cargo room than the CR-V.

Driving range

Every new 2024 and 2025 Honda Prologue will operate with an 85.0-kilowatt battery that's made by General Motors. If you select the single-motor version with front-wheel drive you can expect an estimated driving range of about 300 miles as long as weather conditions are ideal. The dual-motor all-wheel drive Honda Prologue will deliver about 280 miles of driving range although acceleration will be a little better.
